We also operate the Mango Sunset Bed and Breakfast Inn on our farm. Our guests love our location not only for our breathtaking views, but also for the cooler than Kona temperatures. We have the perfect climate year-round for growing Kona Coffee here at Lyman Kona Coffee Farms. The farm size is eight acres and we pamper our 3,200 Kona Typica coffee trees.
Farm Operators
The Farm was founded in Hawaii in 2003, bought from eight acres of jungle. Lyman Kona Coffee Farms was built from scratch. We live on our farm with cat Melissa.
Five generations ago, the missionaries David and Sarah Lyman arrived from Boston on the Big Island, in 1832. They founded the "Hilo School for Boys" and built the first wooden house, which survives today as the oldest wooden structure on the Island - as the Mission House of the Lyman Museum in Hilo. The Farm was named "Lyman Farms" to honor the family. For more information, or to plan a visit to the museum in Hilo, visit The Lyman House and Museum website ยป
