We have already processed a partial crop (six rounds of "Cherry Picking" so far) that is much larger than all of last season's. Our trees are still in their 5th year of life, with root structure and the number of verticals it can support still growing. Rains have been decent, but with our two state-of-the-art irrigation systems we are able to deliver all the water our trees need on time. We are one of only about 50 Certified Kona Coffee Estates (out of 750 farms). As you may know, we have always been a completely poison free farm, and we employ only 100% Organic Practices, including fertilizers and nutrient sprays, as well as pest control. There are only about 30 farms in Kona that have such high standards. We only handpick all of our coffee cherry, and will make sure we only pick the sun-ripened ones that look like “a tomato you want to eat today”. Whereas the ratio between coffee cherry and roasted beans is commonly 6:1, at Lyman Farms, we sort everything out that's not perfect, and we need 7 1/2 pounds of coffee cherry to produce one pound of our roasted coffee. All of our coffee sold is sorted to be "better than Prime" (our Interns drink the Prime - you get only beans that are even better).

We offer two roasts -- our "Vienna Roast" (Medium Plus) and "Dark". THREE GRADES of beans. All of them are of course our certified Lyman Estate 100% Kona Coffee: Select Estate (Better than Prime), Lyman Estate Private Reserve (largest Extra Fancy beans only), and Lyman Estate Peaberry (only 3-5% of all cherry produce this small, single bean -- denser and with even fuller aroma structure). We also ship Green coffee beans (in 5 lb bags).
This Lyman Estate fully sun-ripened Coffee Cherry is ready for picking! At our 2000 foot elevation, the beans get large and our long growing season guarantees dense beans! We process within hours after picking and we won this year's KCC SILVER MEDAL in the Kona Coffee Peoples' Choice Award!

Since late August (when our season begins), we have been bringing in an excellent and large crop. As you can see by our "new and improved" Product Line on our website virtual Mart, we have expanded it significantly to include our Private Reserve and our Peaberry beans. Our new house is making great progress and we are hoping to move in in February. The BnB expansion is already underway, as is our continuing transition to becoming fully certified as an Organic Coffee Farm(that very long process is still underway, but meanwhile, we are using 100% organic practices).
